Ben Porat Yosef sixth graders benefited from an experiential learning approach while studying ancient Egypt. Their curiosity was ignited and they gained a deeper understanding of ancient Egypt by practicing writing hieroglyphics, investigating artifacts using their iPads, exploring the pyramids using an interactive website on the classroom Smartboard, analyzing and comparing the Egyptian Cinderella story with the modern Cinderella story using a Venn diagram, and designing cartouches of their names.
