BPY third grade students were interested in learning more about the solar system and under the guidance of science specialist Jean Meyer, they researched the topic. The study culminated in the creation of their own model of the solar system in the school Discovery Room, complete with informational labels, an asteroid belt and the correct number of moons and rings for the various planets that possess them. As they learn more, they will be expanding on, and improving, their model; they have already started adding constellations.
