(Courtesy of BPY) The Ben Porat Yosef family traveled from near and far to welcome the Friedemanns home from a month in Israel. Rav Nirel heroically spent the last few weeks in miluim (the reserves unit of the IDF) while Isca held down the fort, and they have now returned to their home away from home at BPY. As they drove down their block to the sounds of “Am Yisrael Chai,” with Israeli flags waving and hand-made signs flying in the air,there was not a dry eye in sight. Students and parents alike came out and welcomed them back with open arms.
