Bergen Bonei Olam Event Draws Over 200

(Courtesy of Bonei Olam) On July 12, over 200 people came together to support the annual Bonei Olam Bergen County fundraiser to raise money for local couples seeking help with various fertility obstacles. The event was hosted at Keter Torah and was uniquely geared towards supporting local couples from the Bergen County community.

The event’s focus was twofold: to raise awareness about the important work that Bonei Olam does in helping to build Jewish families, and to raise money for the local couples working with the organization for fertility treatment. Attendees heard the master of ceremonies Batsheva Maslow, a reproductive endocrinologist, discuss the important work the  charity does within the community. The crowd was then addressed by the esteemed founder of Bonei Olam, Rabbi Schlomo Bochner, who spoke about the importance of the Bergen County community showing up for those in their own community struggling to start families of their own. It was followed by a video presentation of a personal story from a couple who had a child with Bonei Olam’s help.

The night featured a hot barbecue buffet including an assortment of salads and dessert by Petaks Catering. The event also featured ax-throwing and an amazing raffle with six great prize packages. A beautiful, fun and informative night was had by all.

Bonei Olam looks forward to next year’s event, and gives special thanks to Bergen County liaison Sarah Bram for her talent and time in making this event, as well as to the volunteers and corporate sponsors for their support.
