Chanukah, the festival of lights, was made a bit brighter on Monday night at the Annual CTeen Jewish Heritage Night at the Brooklyn Barclays Center.
Teens from communities including Englewood, Tenafly and Woodcliff Lake joined 35 CTeen chapters from the tri-state area to pack the seats of Brooklyn’s premier sports stadium and were treated to a star-studded event that featured acclaimed Jewish music superstar Shulem Lemmer and the lighting of the famous basketball menorah.
The basketball menorah was lit by a teen in between the first and second quarters of the game. The Nets also provided official Brooklyn Nets kippahs for the ticket holders. At halftime, the crowd was treated to a rabbis versus teens basketball game on the court.
