This past Sunday marked the end of the Bergen County Flag Football League spring ‘22 regular season. Looking back on the season that started on April 4, in the middle of a torrential downpour that did not phase BCFLers, who still played great football. Week two featured gale force winds (reminiscent of an afternoon at Candlestick Park), but BCFLers all came out and again, played great football. After Pesach, BCFLers were treated to a professional football skills clinic courtesy of Fast Twitch of Saddle Brook, New Jersey. Fast Twitch’s coaches have trained many former and future NFL Stars. The month of May was five weeks of non-stop action. On May 8, as a Mother’s Day treat, teams played on the same field as their favorite NFL players as BCFL took over the Meadowlands.
The BCFLers have all improved so much from that rainy April 4 day when they received their official NFL Flag reversible jersey. The commissioners of BCFL would like to thank the volunteer coaches who so generously gave their time and the carded officials for their knowledge and guidance. Fret not, BCFL returns with the playoffs on June 12, as all 48 teams will play to be crowned champion. Registration for BCFL fall 2022 will open on June 7, at Bergenflag.org
