On the first Sunday of NFL season play, players of the Bergen Football League suited up for their first games of the league’s fourth season. The young athletes, hailing from over a dozen local schools across Bergen County, heard introductory remarks from Rabbi Jonathan Kessel and Yitz Rabovsky who reminded everyone of the primary goal: have fun. And a good time was had by all, as players enjoyed competitive and spirited games on the field at Benjamin Franklin Middle School, making catches, defensive plays and learning new skills. Special thanks to the students from TABC who reffed and played quarterback for the younger groups. Here’s to an awesome season ahead—it’s great to be back!
