Bergen Girls Flag Football Completes First Season

(BGFF) The Bergen Girls Flag Football League crowned two champions this past Sunday. The 1/3 division saw the Commanders face off with the Packers, who were looking for the upset as they were beginning to find their groove towards season’s end. Alas, it was not meant to be, as the Commanders managed to eke out the victory and secure the championship with a 37-30 win.

Commanders are the 1/3 champions!

After the consolation game between the Dolphins and the Browns (won by the Browns), the 4/6 division geared up for the highly anticipated championship game between the #1 seed Lions and the #2 seed Buccs. Both finished the regular season with identical 4-1-1 records. It was an intense battle and the score was 7-0 in favor of the Lions at halftime. Both defenses were relentless but the Lions were able to break through with two TDs in the second half and won by a final score of 21-0. It was a terrific ending to the inaugural season and BGFF is looking forward to their fall season, which begins Sept 10. Registration and more details are available on their website: www.bergengirls.com or by calling 201-314-8931.
