This Shabbat, Parshat Kedoshim, May 14, Rinat Yisrael, Bnai Yeshurun and Beth Aaron will once again hold kiddushim to raise funds for the IDF. Beth Abraham will be holding a Yom Yerushalayim fundraiser in June. Now in the 12th year since Jonny Ben-David began the first of these events at Bnai Yeshurun, the yearly event raises needed funds to support the soldiers. Held annually in memory of Ilan Tokayer z”l, the kiddushim last year raised and contributed over $80,000 to several important organizations.

One hundred percent of the collected donations will go to support five worthwhile organizations that provide essential resources for our soldiers, ranging from basic supplies to medical needs, as well as social and therapeutic services. The organizations include Yashar LaChayal (www.yasharlachayal.com), Beit Halochem (www.zdvo.org/fidv), Friends of the IDF (www.fidf.org), Bishvil Machar (www.traumaweb.org) and Lone Soldier Center (www.lonesoldiercenter.com). Beth Aaron and Beth Abraham’s events specifically raise funds for FIDF.
