Congregation Bnai Yeshurun (CBY) is the largest and oldest Orthodox synagogue in Teaneck. The shul is the spiritual center for hundreds of families of all ages and backgrounds. At Congregation Bnai Yeshurun, one will find beginners, yeshiva graduates, newlyweds and retirees, with the largest group—parents with growing children—the core of the shul. They offer six different minyanim on Shabbat morning and seek worshippers who will appreciate the joys of prayer in an atmosphere of decorum, sanctity and conviviality. Their youth director runs a superb program with activities during the week, on Shabbat and weekends for children of all ages, from pre-K through high school.

Beth Aaron is a warm multi-generational shul with more than 375 member families, led by their Mara d’Asra Rabbi Laurence Rothwachs and his wife Chaviva. They are a friendly congregation that nurtures the religious, social, and educational growth of all members, with the guidance of halacha. They offer numerous minyanim throughout the week and have a vibrant youth department, active Men’s Club and Sisterhood. Beth Aaron prides themselves on offering many learning opportunities for men, women, and children, including Daf Yomi; Daf Shavua; weekly Gemarah, Tanya, Nach, and women’s Navi shiurim; numerous chaburot and frequent Scholar-In-Residence programs.
