Beth El Day Camp in New Rochelle offers eight weeks of camp to children ages 2-8, and welcomed over 240 campers to experience the magic of Beth El this summer.
As this terrific summer comes to an end, campers and staff look back on some of the best memories they made together. Campers have had such fun, swimming, enjoying a petting zoo, riding in a race track, being part of a drumming circle and making new friends.
Campers were also introduced to a value of the week through the Cooking with Kindness curriculum. When asked about cooking at camp, one 5-year-old shared, “I learned that we have to be patient in cooking and around camp.”
Creativity Camp, a new program for children ages 9-12 focused on creative materials, including polymer clay, fused glass, textile art and photography. The campers also gained culinary skills while making foods from around the world such as spanakopita and shakshuka. On Fridays, Creativity Camp represented Beth El Day Camp as food ambassadors at the Down to Earth Farmers Market. They sampled delicious foods using ingredients from the market.
So many fun activities were had this summer such as yoga, sports, tennis, Crossfit, music, nature, STEM and swimming. Some favorite theme days were Oobleck Day, Tie-Dye Day, Carnival Day, Israel Day and Truck Day.
Beth El Day Camp is committed to creating a safe and fun-filled camp experience that helps create friendships and memories that last a lifetime.
