(BGFF) On Wednesday evening July 12, about 20 girls from the Bergen County Girls Flag Football League participated in a clinic at MetLife Stadium with other flag football leagues around New Jersey. The clinic was run by the New York Jets and NFL Flag and consisted of several drills running simultaneously by various instructors—including girls from the Ridgewood High School girls flag football team, the first official state champions of New Jersey high school girls flag football! Each participant received a Jets flag football shirt and other Jets/ NFL Flag swag.

After the clinic, the girls were treated to the premier of the new episode of the award winning docuseries “EmpowHER: Keep Rising,” the story of the explosive growth of girls flag football.

It was a wonderful evening and the participants left with a feeling of positivity about the future of girls flag football in Northern New Jersey and elsewhere.
