(Courtesy of BCHA Sports) What a way to finish the season! In the final game of the winter season last week, Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy of Connecticut’s Upper School boys’ brought home a solid 56-39 victory against NEJA (New England Jewish Academy).
For the Upper School boys’ team, this game was about more than just the score. It was about heart, hustle and the love of the game. Both teams played with passion, showed excellent sportsmanship and made it a night to remember. The perfect ending was a pizza party filled with celebration—wrapping up a season of growth, teamwork and unforgettable moments on and off the court.
“The boys and girls basketball teams this winter were competitive, worked hard and improved throughout the season,” said Coach Karen Cella, BCHA’s Director of Athletics. “The BCHA basketball program was well represented; the coaches and the players always showed good sportsmanship, always gave a true team effort, and never gave up.”

a strong season last week.
In the same week ending the season, the Lady Bobcats in grades seven and eight played their final game. They played with fierce defense, unstoppable hustle and great determination. They gave it their all, battling for every play and never backing down.
Finally, BCHA’s seventh and eighth Grade boys’ team also closed out the final home game of the season with a solid performance. These young men pushed themselves, showed determination and displayed true sportsmanship.

The basketball program ended the season with an overall record of 20 wins; 20 losses; and 2 ties. Opponents included teams from the FAA league: St. Luke’s School, Greenwich Country Day, Ridgefield Academy, New Canaan Country School, Greens Farms Academy, The Harvey School and the Masters School.
The BCHA community offers a heartfelt thank you to the coaches for their time and effort on and off the court; and to the parents for making a successful season happen this winter: their support at the games and volunteering added to the teams’ success.
