Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy is pleased and thrilled to announce that 14 of their middle school students are participating in the Orthodox Union’s All Mishnah Jr. program, a groundbreaking initiative that inspires self-motivated daily learning of Mishnayot. This is the first time BCHA has participated in this program, and they couldn’t be prouder of the enthusiasm and dedication the students have shown.
All Mishnah Jr. (AMJ) has galvanized nearly 2,000 middle school students across the globe to learn two Mishnayot a day during their free time. Students who log their daily learning are entered into weekly drawings to win prizes, and all participants receive AMJ items to recognize and honor their commitment to learning.
“It is a testament to the students’ commitment to Torah that so many decided to join this wonderful program and that so many now have the achievement of a siyum to celebrate now,” remarked Rabbi Josh Rosenfeld, BCHA’s director of Judaics.
AMJ provides three methods to help students learn. First, a daily email sent out to participants with a link to that day’s Mishnayot shiur. Next, a daily WhatsApp Community message sent out to participants with a link to that day’s Mishnayot shiur. Finally, each participant receives a complimentary Artscroll Mishnayot.
With the program’s structure of two Mishnayot a day, engaging video shiurim and exciting incentives, the students have embraced the challenge and made Torah learning a part of their daily lives.
BCHA would like to offer a special mazal tov to the 14 outstanding students who completed the entire Masechet Megillah—an extraordinary milestone reflecting their commitment and perseverance: Alex Folkinshteyn, Alexander Siegel, Ashton Shakun, Caleb Moreen, Eitan Ostrovsky, Eliana Furmansky, Eva Tipermas, Gabriel Zizmor, Juliet Lastoff, Matthew Sosnovich, Max Kahen,Max Gordon, Natan Warmflash and Ronen Wolfe.
A special thank you to Rabbi Elchanan Poupko, Mishnah Jr. coordinator, whose guidance and encouragement have made this program such a success at BCHA. Kol hakavod to all the students for their hard work and dedication—for this is just the beginning of many more Torah learning milestones yet to come!
