Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy Nears Final Round in Math Olympiad

Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy of Connecticut (BCHA) is once again proud to share the next round of results in their ongoing Math Olympiad competition. The program inspires students to improve their mathematical skill set, and these new results represent the fourth round of five in the competition.

“Our last Math Olympiad was the most successful one that BCHA has ever had,” noted Mr. Darren Bahar, Middle School mathematics instructor. “To see the students improve the way they attack math problems from the beginning of the year to now, is the best!”

Students compete in the Math Olympiad to stimulate enthusiasm and a love for mathematics. The goals of the program are to introduce mathematical concepts, teach strategies for problem solving, to foster mathematical creativity and ingenuity, and to provide the satisfaction, joy and thrill of solving challenges. This latest round yielded the most BCHA honorees so far this year.

Results for the fourth round were as follows:

For 4th-6th grade

Gavi Ostrovsky, Joseph Gilboa, Nissim Speter, Eitan Ostrovsky Yoni Notik all got 3/5

Julia Tobin, Eli Lamm, Shia Mosenkis, Eliana Lerner all got 4/5

Ron Maymin Tzur got a 5/5

for 7th-8th grade

Ellie Mishal, Yisroel Dovid, Misha Shakun and Layla Bahar all got 3/5

Aaron Palker, Noa Maymin Tzar, Noam Kahen Kashani all got 4/5
