Students at Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy staged a triumphant theatrical performance of Stuart Little last month, to the delight of students, parents and community members from Stamford and beyond.
“This year,” remarked Laura Miller, who teaches English and Mathematics in BCHA’s Lower and Middle Schools, “the production of Stuart Little was completely undertaken by students and overseen by staff. The director, light and sound operators and stage manager were all Upper School students. All of the actors were Elementary/Middle school students.”
The adventure of Stuart Little wouldn’t be complete without obstacles, all of which challenge Stuart and help him grow. In this production, the audience doesn’t know what adventures lie ahead for Stuart on his search for his best friend, Margalo—it was up to the viewer to imagine the ending for themselves.
A very proud Miller noted after the production that, “I believe we are the only local school to execute a theatrical production at this high level of involvement, and for sure the only day school. Everything has been done by students, and I believe it was rather incredible that this was carried out so successfully.”
