Aaron Liberman’s appearance in last Sundays Northwestern loss did not show up in the stat book, but he still made  Big Ten Conference history. Liberman is Shomer Shabbos and the only Orthodox Jew playing major college basketball. He is the second college basketball player to play with a kippah (Tamir Goodman 2000-2001), but Liberman is the first to do it in the Big-10 conference.
