Black Box PAC Proudly Presents ‘Fuddy Meers’

(Courtesy of Black Box) The Black Box Performing Arts Center, now located on Palisade Ave in downtown Englewood, is pleased to announce the first main stage show in its new space: David Lindsay-Abaire’s award winning play, “Fuddy Meers!”

“Fuddy Meers” tells the story of Claire, who has a rare form of psychogenic amnesia that erases her memory whenever she goes to sleep. This morning, like all mornings, she wakes up a blank slate. Her husband explains her condition, hands her a book filled with all sorts of essential information and disappears into the shower. Soon after, a limping, lisping, half-blind, half-deaf man in a ski mask pops out from under her bed, claiming to be her brother, and whisks her off to the country house of her mother. What follows is a harrowing, hilarious roller coaster ride through the day of an amnesiac trying to decipher her fractured life.

“Fuddy Meers” is sponsored in part by Fairleigh Dickinson University, Dance Art Creative Center, Bauer Printing and Mike Pessolano of Friedburg Properties.

“Fuddy Meers” plays Thursdays through Sundays at 8 p.m. from Nov. 1 – 17 at the Black Box Performing Arts Center (49 East Palisade Ave, Englewood, New Jersey 07631).

Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for students/seniors.Tickets are now available at www.blackboxpac.com. Group rates for 10 or more are available by calling (201)-569-2070. Tickets can also be purchased at the venue.
