(Courtesy of BMOB) The Bais Medrash of Bergenfield hosted a lecture this past Sunday, Dec. 15 by Rav Hershel Schachter, rosh yeshiva at Yeshiva University and rosh kollel at RIETS, on the topic of “Tefillah B’et Tzarah.”

The well-attended lecture was sponsored by the Bak family in memory of Sander Bak, a”h one of the early founders of BMOB and an attorney who was dedicated to many good causes, taking numerous pro bono cases and was admired by all. Sander passed away nine years ago at the age of 40 after fighting a valiant battle against a brain tumor. The evening shiur was a fitting tribute, as so many came to remember Sander and hear words of Torah from Rav Schachter.
