Bnai Yeshurun to Host Inspirational Lecture by Rav Moshe Weinberger

Congregation Bnai Yeshurun will host a special shiur by Rav Moshe Weinberger shlita on Tuesday, September 4, at 8:30 pm. In anticipation of and preparation for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, Rav Weinberger will discuss, “To Forgive and Be Forgiven.” The event has been organized by the Beis Medrash Committee. There is no charge for admission and the entire community is invited to attend.

Rav Weinberger has served as Mashpia (spiritual guide) at Yeshiva University since 2013, and is the founding Morah d’Asrah of Congregation Aish Kodesh in Woodmere, NY. Holder of Semicha from YU and Master’s degrees from YU’s Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies and Columbia University’s Teacher’s College, Rav Weinberger has noted that many religious Jews may follow the letter of halacha without feeling its inner joy or a personal connection with God. He teaches and utilizes some of the tenets and practices of Chassidut to rekindle excitement and joy in Jewish observance.

This special event is sponsored by the Beis Medrash Committee along with CBY members the Feigenbaum and Finkelstein families, in memory of Chaim Gavreil ben Ahron Chanina HaKohen Finkelstein; Amy & Daniel Gibber, in honor of Rav Weinberger, Rabbi Pruzansky, & Rabbi Zahtz; Mindy & Henry Orlinsky, in memory of Milton Kramer z”l, יחיאל מיכל בן חיים שניאור למן הלוי ע”ה, נפ’ ט”ו אלול  ה’תשע”ח, and in memory of their parents Aviva and Paul Rolnick; and Mona and Itzy Weinberg in memory of Menachem Melech Mendel ben Moshe Chaim Hakohen, Manny Freed, whose yahrzeit is on Rosh Hashana.

This event is but one of many opportunities for Torah study organized and supported by the Beis Medrash Committee. For a complete list of daily shiurim and special classes visit Bnai Yeshurun’s website at https://www.bnaiyeshurun.org or call the shul office.
