Rosh Hashanah is on the way, so BPY’s Gan Kochavim is getting ready! The children spent time exploring bees and honey. First things first: How do bees make honey? To find out, they became bees! Using black and yellow paper they made bee hats using their pattern skills. They learned all about bees, the beekeepers and their very special costume. They learned that bees have two stomachs and people have one. They learned that bees collect nectar from flowers. They all pretended to be bees and collect nectar from the flowers they made in the classroom. During snack time, Gan Kochavim friends enjoyed dipping the apple into honey—and made a bracha loud and proud!
