The BPY middle school partnered with Yeshivat Hakotel in Jerusalem for a very special learning opportunity over winter break. Students in the Yeshivat Hakotel Bergman Family Leadership Program created special shiurim for BPY students. The Yeshivat Hakotel Bergman Family Leadership Program, run by Rabbi Ari Cutler, is dedicated to building talmidei chachamim with a broad perspective on the world. These students are both firmly planted in the beit midrash while simultaneously excelling in community outreach and improvement. Each member receives extensive leadership training by top professionals in the Jewish leadership world as well as one on one attention with their mentors in the program. At the same time, they commit to running a project in the yeshiva which makes an impact on the growth of their peers and helps develop the skills necessary to thrive in community ventures in the future. A special thank you to Eitan Maron (alumnus of Yeshivat Hakotel) and Benjamin Coplin (currently in the Leadership Program) for organizing the shiurim and sharing them with the BPY students. There was a new shiur available each day and the shiurim included topics related to the parsha as well as life values. This was an amazing way for the BPY students to connect with students learning in Israel and to study Torah with them. On behalf of the BPY students who took advantage of this learning experience, thank you to the talmidim at Yeshivat Hakotel for taking the time to share your divrei Torah!
