Right before Pesach break, the BPY third grade students celebrated Poem in Your Pocket Day. After spending the month learning about poetry and figurative language the students had the opportunity to write their own poems or pick favorites that they read to share with the class. Some parents from the class shared recordings of themselves reading poems of poems they also love to read. How special it was that a parent shared a poem about hot cocoa which was the exact drink students drank to celebrate the day!
