Last week, BPY marked Sharsheret Pink Day at BPY. The middle school students and teachers came to school dressed in pink, in order to show support and raise awareness for those affected by breast cancer and ovarian cancer. After saying a special chapter of Tehillim in tefillah, students learned about the organization of Sharsheret and the amazing work they do in the Jewish community. During snack break, lunch and recess, sixth grade students sold all sorts of pink treats that they had prepared in advance. They devoted their time, energy and resources to take an active role in this special day of chesed. The sixth graders really did a wonderful job, and came up with incredibly creative ideas for the sale. The school raised $600 to be donated to Sharsheret. Kol hakavod BPY MS!
