In anticipation of the Sukkot break culminating with Simchat Torah, the entire school at BPY from the amazing middle school, the wonderful elementary school and the adorable early childhood program joined together outside to do hakafot and rejoice with the Torah. All the students—big and small, young and old—shared in the joy of the celebration. There were so many special things in this hakafot—students holding their family Torahs, alumni coming back, siblings together, getting to see a real sefer Torah inside and out and comparing and contrasting Sephardic and Ashkenaz Torahs. It was a really beautiful experience for all!
