(Courtesy of BPY) The fifth-grade Ben Porat Yosef students set a record by raising close to $850 through a bake sale for local and Israeli needy families for Pesach.

Jeff Mendelson from Project Ezrah came to speak with the students and explained what Project Ezrah does and how the money that the students raised would go directly to needy families to have food for Pesach.

The students were very excited to work and share, and that gave them an appreciation of how important it is to perform chesed.
