Ben Porat Yosef eighth grade students kicked off a new and ongoing Skype-in program with Israeli soldiers in the Golani Brigade of the Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday, November 8. Students and soldiers talked about the meaning of army service in Israel and about the challenges religious soldiers encounter while serving in the IDF. Following their Skype conversation, in a demonstration of unity which transcended the distance between the continents, all of the participants were moved to sing Hatikvah together.
