BPY First and Second Grade Students Enjoy Educational Trips

Ben Porat Yosef first and second grade students recently enjoyed some fun and educational trips that complemented their in-class learning. First grade students visited Museum Village in Monroe, New York, which immerses visitors in 19th century life. The students have been learning about one-room schoolhouses and found it interesting to see, in person, what such an educational setting looked and felt like. Students also loved the log cabin, barn and making candles at the candle shop. The second grade students visited the Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, to witness the animals they are studying in school up close and in action. As a special treat, students met with zoo keepers who are involved in designing exhibits to get some more behind-the-scenes information.
