With great excitement and a festive party, the first grade students received their new siddur right before winter vacation. This year, the theme of the siddur party was a journey of tefillah in Eretz Yisrael. The program opened with a chapter of Tehillim for peace and security Eretz Yisrael, the people of Israel and the soldiers. After the students sang a song of thanks including sign language, they went on a journey, visiting different places in Israel and reciting a tefillah related to that place. The parents watched a beautiful video in which each student presented a personal tefillah. For the end of the program, there was an exciting ceremony with each student receiving a new siddur with a personal bracha from their parents. On Monday, for the first time, the students used their new siddurim!
