The BPY first graders have been hard at work learning different strategies for writing poetry, such as utilizing onomatopoeia, repetition, stanzas, descriptive language and more. They compiled their original poems into anthologies. During National Poetry Month, the first graders celebrated the conclusion of their poetry writing unit by sharing their poems with their classes on Zoom. BPY is so proud of the first graders’ creative and inspired poetry!
