The fourth graders were fortunate enough to have a special “guest” in their classes this past Monday. Nesya Malka (a BPY parent), works with children who have special needs and taught the children all about autism and how children who are on the spectrum learn. It was a very engaging lesson that went along with their unit on disabilities. Every child was able to take plenty of notes on the subject and left school that day with a better understanding of children who have autism.
