Having recently completed a Hebrew language unit that focused on food, Ben Porat Yosef fourth grade students planned and opened up a restaurant in school on Wednesday, November 15. They prepared all of the menus, signage and food, which included eggs, Israeli salad, fruit, various desserts and beverages. The restaurant menus were all in Hebrew, and waiters were on hand to take orders—all in Hebrew! The students also prepared entertainment with a program of several Hebrew songs, which they acted out as well. Of course, for such a special grand opening there were several VIPs on hand!
