(Courtesy of BPY) Ben Porat Yosef honored parents Karen and Eric Orgen and Tamar and Uri Moche, and shlichim/teachers Avital and Chaim Hadad on Tuesday, March 20, at the school’s annual dinner at the Montammy Golf Club. Hundreds of BPY family members, supporters, friends and members of the greater Bergen County Jewish community came together to pay tribute to the school and its honorees. Speeches by the honorees highlighted BPY’s commitment to engaging and inspiring each learner at his or her level, its celebration of the community’s dual Sephardic and Ashkenazic heritage and finding strength in diversity, its connection to Israel and Judaism through Hebrew language fluency and the school’s fostering a deep and abiding love for Eretz Yisrael and Medinat Yisrael. The honorees noted the parent body’s passion for BPY, and their confidence in the school’s commitment to the students’ personal character development, education and development as committed and empathetic members of the Jewish community.
