The debate team at BPY was excited to host the last debate of the season. The school warmly welcomed the teams from Flatbush, HALB and JKHA. The resolution debated was whether the United States should ban all forms of animal testing. This is a very heated topic because it impacts many aspects of life. The students did an amazing job of researching, preparing and presenting. Although they strongly defended their opinions, they were courteous as they listened to and responded to their opponents. Congratulations to Nikki Attar and Atara Kagedan on winning the first place team award. Congratulations to Atara Kagedan on winning second place speaker award for the debate. Thank you to eighth grade debaters Adiella Ginsburg, Atara Kagedan, Amalya Marmar and Dafna Vega for all that they did for the team and wish them success with debate in high school.
