Ben Porat Yosef has been notified of its acceptance for membership in the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools (NJAIS). This is an important first step in the school’s bid for prestigious joint accreditation from NJAIS and the Middle States Association of Schools & Colleges, a rigorous 18-month process. Over the past few months, the NJAIS board visited BPY and met with important stakeholder groups including parents, teachers, administrators, students and members of the school’s Board of Trustees.
The NJAIS board members were deeply impressed by both the school’s mission and the students’ love of learning upon which they commented. From the official acceptance letter: “Ben Porat Yosef is a strong school that cares deeply for the head and the heart of each child, and is providing excellence in Yeshiva education. Our membership committee and board concurred and wholeheartedly endorse this school as a member of NJAIS.”
