After visiting the BPY Discovery Learning Room, the kindergarten children were very curious about the school’s bunny rabbit, Chocolate. When they began their research, the children asked Morah Jean in the Discovery Learning Room if she had any books about rabbits. She told them that there were not that many. Since we have now become rabbit experts, they decided to write a non-fiction book about rabbits so that other children could learn about what makes Chocolate so special! Around this time, they were also learning about how to tell and write a story, so the children decided it would be fun to create their own stories, featuring their very own Chocolate. Each of the children chose a special place that they thought Chocolate might like to visit and then they got to work on creating detailed illustrations and placed a picture of their Bunny on his adventure. They enjoyed reading their books to Chocolate.
