BPY welcomed Rabbi Grossbaum from Living Legacy who visited kitah gimmel this week. The Havdala ceremony came to life as students explored its meaning and assembled their own Havdala candle. Rabbi Grossbaum and the students examined the ritual objects used in the Havdala ceremony and discussed their significance. The students then dipped wicks into vats of hot beeswax and weaved the thin candles to create a beautiful Havdala candle, as well as learned how to recite and lead the Havdala service. It is so special when these students go home and can lead their own families so confidently in Havdala.
