BPY Students Celebrate Mesibat Navi

Following BPY tradition, fourth grade students celebrated their Mesibat Navi on Monday evening. The students reenacted Yeshua Ben Nun’s continuation of the leadership role undertaken from Moshe Rabbeinu, which was certainly a most important task—to lead Am Yisrael into Eretz Yisrael. Before Bnei Yisrael could enter Eretz Yisrael, they needed to prepare for a new reality—from wandering in the desert to building a permanent establishment in Eretz Yisrael. In the mesiba, the students deliberated over who is a worthwhile leader of Am Yisrael, and of course ultimately the answer was Yehoshua Ben Nun. Yehoshua was afraid that Bnei Yisrael would not want him to lead them into Eretz Yisrael. In the end, though, Bnei Yisrael proved that they very much wanted to enter the holy land with Yehoshua as their leader. The students prepared meticulously and arduously for their Mesibat Navi and were very excited for the celebration. Their hard work was evident and paid off! The mesiba was a huge success and the students flawlessly showcased not only their deep knowledge of Hebrew and Navi, but also their wonderful acting skills. The students really enjoyed the mesiba and the reception that followed.
