BPY first grade students have been working on their writing and are proud to be published authors! From brainstorming ideas to editing, and working through the writing process, the children wrote about something they are experts in—themselves! Students organized their ideas, came up with their own table of contents and wrote about their family, their favorite food, the most interesting place they’ve visited and more. Everyone shared their writing pieces in a museum-style display around the classroom during the Publishing Celebration, and special guests came by to read the children’s stories, leaving behind compliments on slips of paper or Post-Its for the children to relish in. Everyone is so proud and can’t wait to read more of the new authors’ beautiful works.
