BPY elementary students have been hard at work creating their custom haggadot and props to be used at their family sedarim! As always, BPY students approach everything they learn in multi-dimensional, multi-sensory, and experiential ways. The fifth grade students are learning perushim (commentaries) of the Haggadah and why we do what we do during the Seder as well as the physical and spiritual cleaning of personal “chametz” before Pesach. In second grade, the students have been learning all about the order and arrangement of the Pesach Seder by depicting the steps through beautiful art and illustrations. Third grade students’ Haggadah theme is avdut and cheirut. They analyzed the order of the Seder through the lens of what each part symbolizes, freedom or slavery. The students are looking forward to sharing all of their deep and meaningful learning with their families. Chag kasher v’sameach!
