This past Friday, BPY sixth and seventh graders enjoyed their annual Shabbat in. Everyone came to school dressed in their Shabbat finest and enjoyed a day filled with Shabbat-themed programming and student divrei Torah. After a regular tefillah, the students enjoyed a kiddush breakfast. They then played a sixth vs. seventh grade game of BPY Family Feud, planned by their grade representatives on the middle school Student Council. They had a cake decorating competition, where some beautiful and creative cakes were created, and group bonding games, run by the wonderful shlichim. The students thoroughly enjoyed the Shabbat lunch of deli roll, chicken fingers, mazzah and more! After lunch the students had free time to play board games and spend time together, as if it were Shabbat afternoon. They ended the awesome day of programming with a rocking tish, singing songs and getting excited to welcome Shabbat just a few short hours later.
