Did you know that this Shabbat is a very special birthday? It’s the birthday of the world, Rosh Hashanah! BPY Gan Shemesh toddlers learned all about Rosh Hashanah this week and are so excited to celebrate with their families. The children learned about the different parts of the apple—the stem, core and seeds are the parts that we don’t eat; the peel and the fruit are the parts that we do eat. They learned that if you cut the apple in a special way you can find a star hiding inside! Apples smell and taste so sweet all by themselves, the chidlren can’t wait to eat them dipped in honey.
