Ben Porat Yosef celebrated Rosh Chodesh Adar on Friday, March 11 with Topsy Turvy Day and the school’s own Israeli style talent show, Beit Sefer L’Musica, which showcased BPY’s annual celebration of Israeli music. Students from all grades became immersed in Israeli culture through learning the music of Israel in preparation for this event. They had selected Israeli songs, learned the meaning of their songs, prepared and finally performed them, in an auditorium filled with fellow students and special guests. The students were coached by their talented teachers, who helped them stage and practice their performances. Many parents and grandparents enjoyed the show and delightful Adar environment around the school, which included an outstanding amount of ruach and creativity, on full display, as the school’s Topsy Turvy Day took place on this day as well. Rav Ronen, the master of ceremonies for the show and the day’s activities, concluded the festivities with a spirited early childhood Kabbalat Shabbat dance party.
