(Courtesy of RWJ Barnabas) The Breast Center at the Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center recently completed extensive renovations, further enhancing the continuum of care for women and making the space more efficient, private and patient-centered. Renovations include a new, dedicated magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine just for Breast Center patients, along with an expanded registration area.
Located at 200 South Orange Avenue in Livingston, the Breast Center provides a comprehensive range of preventive, diagnostic and treatment services for women, including digital mammograms, ultrasounds and breast interventional procedures. The Breast Center team is multidisciplinary and highly experienced in treating breast-related issues. The new MRI machine will enable the Breast Center to seamlessly integrate MRI scans into patient care by providing scans on-site in a more comfortable environment, improving patient flow, reducing wait times and increasing diagnostic reporting capabilities. Additionally, the new MRI machine is state-of-the-art and will provide the highest quality diagnostic images for patients while efficiently delivering results.
“With the renovations and addition of the new MRI machine patients can receive a complete range of breast services in one convenient location in a comfortable, soothing atmosphere,” said radiologist Linda Sanders, MD, medical director of the Breast Center at the Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center. “Our goal at the Breast Center is to exceed the individual expectations of each patient, to decrease the stress commonly associated with breast testing and to promote breast health and wellness. The addition of a dedicated state-of-the-art MRI machine in the Center ensures patients don’t have to wait to receive necessary scans and can now do so as quickly and efficiently as possible on-site.”
