On Sunday, the eve of Chof Beis Shevat, Bris Avrohom commemorated the 32nd yahrzeit of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson (the wife of the Lubavitcher Rebbe). Miryam Swerdlov, the keynote speaker, shared many personal stories with her and the rebbetzin; she underlined the specialty of the rebbetzin’s ahavat Yisrael, her concern for every single person, and her attention to every little detail. The event was hosted by Shterney Kanelsky in honor of her birthday. She shared the importance of celebrating one’s birthday by gathering together with friends, and encouraged the women to fill out a page of mitzvot to honor the legacy of the rebbetzin. A special memento of a picture of the Rebbe and rebbetzin was given out to the women. One hundred women enjoyed the sushi, salads and dessert bar catered by Zami Caterers.
