On Friday, Jan. 25, in an amazing display of Jewish pride, 100 local Jewish teens joined at Bris Avrohom of Fair Lawn for Jteen Shabbat100. The teens celebrated together, with candle lighting, followed by singing Shalom Aleichem, Kiddush and Shabbat dinner. Fair Lawn’s Jewish mayor, Kurt Peluso, joined the group and shared his remarks about the power of the youth in the community, and the important impact of the Jteen club in the community. Jteens meet once a week and also have monthly events. It unites Jewish teens to strengthen, celebrate and commit to their Jewish identity and community.
