(Courtesy of Bris Avrohom) A farbrengen was held at Bris Avrohom to commemorate Yud Shevat, which is the yahrtzeit of the previous Rebbe, as well as the day our Rebbe assumed leadership of the Chabad Lubavitch Movement 73 years ago.

An appetizing full course meal was served, which was prepared by Mendy Kanelsky and sponsored by the entire community. Rabbi Menachem Mendel Groner, emissary of the Rebbe in Israel and mashpia of Yeshivas Lubavitch in Kiryat Gat, captivated the crowd with his mesmerizing stories and ideas.

Rabbi Groner reflected on the life of the previous Rebbe, which was full of sacrifice against the Russian government. He then shared countless stories from the years of leadership of our Rebbe. He credited the stories to his father, R’ Laibel Groner, who served as secretary to the Rebbe for 60 years and had a first-hand account of all the stories.

The farbrengen lasted till the early morning hours. The attendees left with the lasting message of Rabbi Groner’s speech, which was to learn from the Rebbe to always find the good in everything in this world, especially in every Jew, and to serve God with joy and happiness.
