The Lt. Governor and Acting Governor Kim Guadagno visited the home of Rabbi Mordechai and Shterney Kanelsky where she had the opportunity to meet the rabbis who direct each of the Bris Avrohom centers throughout New Jersey as well as its board of directors. Lt. Governor Guadagno and three of her assistants were greeted warmly.
Rabbi Kanelsky spoke about Bris Avrohom’s accomplishments in its 36 years of existence and the effect it has had on its 30,000 Russian Jews from the former Soviet Union in the state of New Jersey.
The Lt. Governor spoke about the camaraderie her office has with each of her constituents and the assistance to institutions and small and large companies to become successful in New Jersey.
An elaborate luncheon was served and as a token of Bris Avrohom’s appreciation, Lt. Governor Guadagno was presented with a sculpture of Jerusalem.
