(Courtesy of Bris Avrohom) Newark Airport observed 9/11 with a memorial ceremony at its headquarters. General Manager James Gill and the airport chief of police both spoke, and a moment of silence was observed.
Rabbi Mordechai Kanelsky spoke about positive actions that each person can take, especially that we are now standing before the Jewish New Year and how each positive action pushes away darkness. Rabbi Dovid Wilansky then blew the shofar.
Additionally, Rabbi Avremy Kanelsky, director of the Jewish information stand, spoke about the new year and blew the shofar for the staff in the El Al security lounge.
