A special farbrengen was held on February 2 to mark the 28th yahrzeit of the righteous Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, ob”m, wife of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Approximately 35 women from the Hillside/Elizabeth communities affiliated with Bris Avrohom Center attended this special celebration hosted in the home of Rabbi Mordechai and Shterney Kanelsky. The event was sponsored by Mrs. Kanelsky in celebration of her birthday.
Mrs. Kanelsky spoke about the importance of celebrating one’s Jewish birthday with family and friends and provided handouts on traditional ways to make the most of one’s special day. She also related stories about the Rebbetzin. Guests were treated to sushi and delightful refreshments.
